Has anyone handled The Blaser F16? My hunting for Turkeys in Ohio has ended the First week of the season. And since this Covid put the breaks on my NY hunt. I have been looking at a couple of guns and the Blaser peeked my interest.

Kicks real hard and feels like a club. I’ve shot one, and.....just my humble opinion.

I thought I wanted one when they first came out.
To be polite, the wood they use is 'lower grade'. You can buy an upgrade to less substandard wood.
It's an interesting design, but to be frank it's grossly overpriced.
It's not selling well.

LGS was carrying them for a while. The owner brought one out to our gun club for the members to use in hopes of enticing one or more of us to buy one. It's a blue collar club - lots more Berettas and Brownings than Krieghoffs and Perrazzis.
Didn't sell a one. No one who handled it liked it.
I suspect they'll be even harder to sell used.

Must be a regional thing. I have no less than four shooting companions shooting 30" and 32" versions. As already stated the standard grade wood is pretty poor. Everyone I know save one fellow, have upgraded woods that are just OK in my estimation. A buddy invited me to shoot his 32" standard version at our local five stand. The trapper threw impromptu combinations of true and report pairs and I never missed a bird. Pretty unusual (as far as the clean run ) but more unusual is my go to SC guns are all high rib versions. Anywho…... I thought the gun handled fine, had a pretty darn good trigger and the recoil never bothered me. I typically shoot 1300-1350 1 oz loads. My buddy shot his 30" version to a win in AA at the last North Central Regional.....needless to say he likes his pretty well. I've heard that Blaser customer support is pretty good. Lot's of guys shooting F3's in my neighborhood too.

They're really good guns. Great dynamics, superb trigger, very strong lockup and shallow receiver for a trim, sleek look. The stock design feels great in the hands as well. If you shop, you can find one with very decent wood without paying for the upgrade. https://www.shop.colegun.com/collections...32-sn-fgr010692Overpriced? You decide, but isn't everything? JR

Thanks for all your insights, Am kicking myself for selling my Browning adjustable high post rib, special sporting I used during my time shooting on the USAF skeet team. Sat in my safe for 15 years where I was not shooting Skeet any longer and a work colleagues son was getting into trap and skeet shooting. Long story short, was invited out to shoot a few rounds with my colleague and his son. I shot 4 rounds and dropped 3 birds, not bad for not shooting clays in over15 years. His son used my gun and broke 21 birds with it for the first time where his average is between 12-16 birds. I saw his excitement in shooting and figured it was time to pass the gun on. Now I find myself being asked to shoot SC and utilizing my wife’s Remington 1187 Sporting Clays gun, which is a nice SC gun for an automatic. Now if I can figure out what to pickup will be my next plight.

Needing another gun seems like a nice problem to have and passing one along, is always a good thing when you can do it.
