All of a sudden you (well, you and the McPaper you keep quoting) are an expurt on troop levels in the Middle East? Not concrete? Hey, follow the money. The article says the funds shed light on where the troops are. 60,000 in the neighborhood, even if it is a ballpark guess, might be too many. Nothing good comes of it. Suddenly, after Gulf War and its many sequels, you want to spew forth on who our friends are, and who should stand with them? The last administration couldnt see fit to send rescue troops, who were ready to go, to save the poor souls in Bengazi, but, you think this one should carve out a homeland for a people the neighbors arent interested in having around? That, and the mighty ISIS that isnt is your issue? To quote a quote, At this point, what difference does it make how many troops are in Syria? You have no argument to make. Another 10,000 or 20,000 or 30,000 American troops isnt going to bring peace to that neighborhood, you just like to pretend if a liberal did it, it would. You would like to pretend a liberal could save the Kurds, but, Obama had his shot, and it sure as hell wasn't done.
Insult me all you want. Your argument is and will always be weak.
Long on insults. bill, with the inane, clueless questions he asks, that show he doesnt read and might not know how to think, deserves it.
Best, Ted
Jesus you are an ignorant stupid , selfish piece of sh!t Ms. Peep. Your response indicates that you don't want American boots on the ground in the Middle East. Well as long as we want their oil you know that isn't gonna happen. And it is because we want their oil and historically set up and supported for US dictators over there is one of the several reasons we have all these problems in the Middle East. And after Obama unwisely withdrew from Iraq, and ISIS came storming in, instead of using only using US troops to fight them back, we armed and trained the Kurds to fight them for us, and they beat them back taking some 10,000 plus casulties. You do realize they fought ISIS for us so we didn't have to send more troops there to die don't you? Obama got them to do that. And you are right along with Trump in how we thank them. Abandon them to be slaughtered by Turnkey and force them into an alliance with our adversaries. https://time.com/3110836/kurds-finally-have-americas-attention/https://www.nytimes.com/2019/10/13/world/middleeast/syria-turkey-invasion-isis.htmlYou have a despicable sense of entitlement to you that you think its OK that other peoples should carry on our fights and then toss them under the bus because they deserved it. What a dull tool you make Ms. Peep. News flash. We dont actually need their oil, since we elected Mr. Trump. Check in the McPaper. We are an actual exporter of same. Dated, has been news, from you. They fought ISIS because it was the right thing to do. They would have done it, whether we helped them of not. Obama had nothing to do with it. They have been fighting, rightly, and, unbeknownst to you, wrongly, for a century. Short of inviting them here, there is little we can do to make their situation better. Im not opposed to that, either. It is a far better option then trying to make the bad guys in their neighborhood play nice with them for the next two thousand years. Ever heard of the Hmong? You, being a typical dense liberal, cant or wont understand that. The Calvary needs to come home. Strangers, attempting to plant the seeds of democracy, in backward 7th century nations has been a distinct failure. Im not terribly interested in paying reparations in US lives for what some politician did in the 1950s. It isnt going to be us that brings about the end of the Syrian or Iranian regimes. The people that live there are going to have to do it. Keep calling me names. It illustrates how backward, out of touch with reality and weak your arguments truly are. Best, Ted

If you expect anyone to believe in the decades of your frequenting Gene the nazi's shop, that you never bought on gun off of him princess, you should also try to sell us some beach front property in Kansa as well. What did you do those countless times you went there? I'm pretty sure it was just more then to have a discussion about your mutual contempt for all things non-Aryan.
BTW your feverish attempt to defend against this fact betrays you. I know I struck a sensitive cord.
So now the transgender idiot nca225 is saying that I frequented Genre's gunsmith shop "countless times" over a span of "decades". Let's see if this idiot can find anyplace where I ever said that I did that. During most of the times I went to this establishment, I was riding a bicycle, and earning a few bucks from my paper route. Then, I stopped in a couple times when I was in college. During that period, I wasn't exactly flush with cash, or buying firearms. I had only the few guns that my Dad gave to me, and a couple I bought used from other sources with my meager earnings. Shortly after that, Gene was more or less forced into retirement by the BATF. He wasn't very good with the record keeping aspect of the gun business. His wife did most of that, but when she wasn't around, he sold guns to anyone he trusted without any thought to three day waiting periods or Bound Ledger Book entries. The final time I visited him, during the Gulf War, was at the new house he built after retiring. I went there seeking a bolt stop for a Siamese Mauser that I was converting to .45-70. Gene wasn't feeling good, so we didn't go out to his shop to look for the part I needed. I went home without buying anything. There is little doubt that he was an anti-semite... much like our own Libtard Dr. Wanker. But he was an American citizen, like thousands of other Germans who emigrated to the U.S. after the war. I'm quite sure the lying Libtard idiot who supports anti-gun Liberal Left Democrats will find some way to twist the facts some more. It's kinda like the Great job the idiot thinks Obama did with ISIS. They flourished and grew into a massive and feared force with Obama unable to even slow them down. With Donald Trump in the White House and leading our military, they are little more than a memory, and a reminder of how weak and incompetent Obama was. But a pussy like Obama must seem pretty impressive to a coward like Nancy-boy nca225. The wonder is that the other Libtards here, such as Gladys Kravitz, Billy, etc., are not one bit concerned that Nancy-boy posts anonymously.
A true sign of mental illness is any gun owner who would vote for an Anti-Gunner like Joe Biden.

He can go ahead and be the keeper of small gun shops and the go to expert on his post high school middle east era, but thats not even a thimble worth of all the nooks and crannies his agenda wants to remake America with. nca offers a realistic look at the opposition and I can really appreciate that there is no magic to meeting him some day at a range or gun show in the misguided name of common interests.

Some days it goes like that. Not being in a rush is always good.
I thought I was going to get the fairing on, and a Morgan Carbtune in the mail today. The fairing had other notions-big crack next to a lower mounting bolt. Kevlar cloth and epoxy to the rescue.
The Carbtune didnt show, either. Always tomorrow. Did some other stuff, instead. Funny how much time you can blow on a 31 year old bike.
Hey, good luck in the quest. I mean that.
Best, Ted

Since this thread is light years from it's origin ..........
Kevlar is good stuff, but carbon fiber is awesome. I saw a 34' boat, a couple weeks back, that two buddies imported from Dubai (built there). It is going to be rigged with two billet 3.5 liter custom built "Mercurys", making 460+ hp each, and will attempt to break the twin outboard world speed record. It is a two seat cockpit boat, and at 34' it only weighs 1700 lbs., unrigged. All carbon fiber. Buddy said if it doesn't break 140 mph on the first good pass he will be really surprised. Looking for north of 150 after dialing it in.

May God bless America and those who defend her.

Stan, you're not going into the business of "cash crop" importing are you.
There was an old Indian Motorcycle Company factory racer from the 1930's, famous for showing up in Daytona wearing all green (a bad luck color until Kawasaki) and for painting motorcycles, named "Red Neighbors." He pitched up in Fayetteville, N.C, in the late 1940's and opened "Meridian Motorcycle Co." there. He was a specialist motorcycle painter and managed to obtain the dealership for all the Limey logos - Triumph, BSA, Norton, Matchless in the 1950's...and then for the Italians, Moto-Guzzi and Ducati... He hated 2 strokes and Harleys. He sold bikes to the paratroopers and never forgave LBJ for sending the 82nd to Dominican Republic in 1965 - cost him a lot of money. I bought my first Triumph Bonneville from him in August 1965 and rode it to Florida down 301 the next week.
Then, long after I left Ft. Bragg...in early 70's he open a ship building business on the NC coast making low, sleek, super fast ocean going boats. Guess who was buying them? He died in the mid- 1970's I believe and his daughter took over. Last time I was in Fayetteville, April a year ago, the building was a furniture sales place...sad.

SRH I just had to repair a corner on a 31 year old plastic fairing for a Japanese motorcycle, Stan. I cut about a 1 square out of the remains of a MN. State Troopers bulletproof vest. Soaked it in epoxy I thinned with lacquer thinner, and laid it over the crack. I had worked some into the crack before I thinned the stuff to go into the Kevlar. Bulletproof vests have a date code on them, and Troopers are required to get new ones when the old one goes out of date. My Trooper neighbor and I took it to the range, and put it on a hay bale, and had at it. It stopped every handgun round we had access to, save one. A lowly 30 caliber CZ52 that was fed sub gun ammunition, hitting about 1700fps. Turns out the thing was designed for shooting through cars at checkposts He said he was impressed. Im really careful where use the gun. Best, Ted
