Just for Lonny:

New York steak, tater tots and cornbread came off the charcoal grille. My piece of cornbread broke, but, was really tasty anyway. The veggies could have come from the steamer, but, the hell with that- out of the microwave. The gun range, of all places, is closed for the month. Wrenching in the shop and cooking for the duration, I guess, with breaks to run a psychotic setter.

Weather the storm, all my friends. The world needs every double gun fan it has!

Best,
Ted

Weather the storm indeed Ted! Grilled a chunk of elk backstrap and roasted some Yukon Gold 'taters and asparagas in the oven Tuesday night. Washed that all down with a bottle of cheap Costco red wine (Josh!) and had some homemade rice pudding to top it all off. Living well is the best revenge! I just checked and my gunclub is still open so... maybe tomorrow?

Whole damn town is closed up, Lloyd. Maria volunteered at the school this week, and worked a whole shift today. I worked on Friday, running a Heidelberg 82 folder to produce an essential book for U of M hospital. I get called in for things that HAVE to print, but, the place is a ghost town.

Be well, Lloyd.

Ted

That looks mighty fine to me. And I'm starving to boot, so it just adds to the attractiveness. I'll have settle for antelope curry tonight. It will be great, but wont look as good and won't photograph well either.

I eat plenty of stuff that doesnt photograph as well as it eats. Chilies and soups seem better on day two or three, but lose some visual appeal in the process.

Hunker down, fellows. Let the bug go by.

Ted

This is going to be a long hunker. Really long, and if we unhunker too soon, that bastard will come back with a vengeance.

I cannot believe how the country is coming together on this hunkering down thing. Never would have believed we could do it. Well except maybe for the spring breakers, but they are under 20 and immortal in their own eyes...Geo

Geo. I'm like you, a bit amazed. Good thing though. It will make a difference.
