That's a handsome rifle. Can you say anything more about the makers? I don't think I ever head those names before. I'd almost suspect they worked at Sedgley's earlier, the resemblance is so marked.

Your local gun stocker is well above average I would say. Well above.

I sure missed that one at Amoskeag, was it in their online auction? It would have fit well with all my Sedgleys. I have one Wurzer & Peterson '03 rifle, it's a bench rest rifle with a Paperneck barrel and single set trigger. Paperneck and W & P both had ads in the AR after the war.

It was in one of the online amoskeag auctions, I have had great luck bidding in those.
He's going to have a go at full-time stock making. A few months ago he upgraded his duplicator to a Don Allen / Dakota machine. It makes me much more willing to buy some of these rifles that need some help.

Do you happen to have any "Before" pictures. It sure looks nice now. Your local stock maker did a great job on the pad and refinishing.
A true sign of mental illness is any gun owner who would vote for an Anti-Gunner like Joe Biden.

Cool rifle and a nice job on the clean up. That is one loong fore end in proportion to barrel length.
