Gentlemen,
Has anyone heard of the gunmaker or retailer Le Brun? French or Belgian perhaps? Any Idea of quality?
Thank you,
Kurt

Ben-t, if this is the gun, http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=79864867 I would guess French, but could be Belgian. The photos are not that good, sparse description. It appears to be decent quality, I have a low-ball bid on it, but it won't take much to beat me ;<) Jim
I learn something every day, and a lot of times it's that what I learned the day before was wrong

Looks VERY typically French, with that style round knob and the look of the receiver. But you'd have to see the proofmarks to be sure. Name does not ring any bells, but it's French for "Brown" and is a very common name, as it is in English.

Jim, That's the one. I think it has nice lines so I was thinking I'd take a drive to look at it, but will not have the time. If its yours let me know how you like once it is in hand. As they say here -"buy the gun not the name" I think it will be a nice piece to carry and shoot.
Best to you,
Kurt
