8 lb 5 oz gun with 32" barrels, 100% reconditioned by DelGrego. I only shoot light 1 oz loads and on about the 150 shot a good sized piece of stock broke off. Really bad news is I couldn't find the piece of wood missing. This is a 1925 production gun. I would have thought by now that wouldn't be a problem.

Really bad luck, Nitrah, but I'm relating because I'm having a run of issues with vintage guns myself. My 32" L C Smith needs a new top lever spring ............ it's opening the top lever enough, after the first shot, that it won't fire the second. My 30" AE 16 ga. Philly Fox broke a piece off the barrel underlug last Sunday afternoon on a dove shoot.
We are using these old guns way past the age that the makers anticipated, IMO. Sorry for your problem, but we should not be surprised when this kind of thing happens to them.
Hope you get it sorted out successfully.

The Stock Fixers does some pretty amazing gunstock repair. But their website says they currently have a 24 month backlog.

Drew, thank you for mentioning my name however the phone number you used will only get my soon to be ex-wife. My current number is 815-263-3392. As they say in the old country "shit happens". My main focus now is custom checkering and leather covered pads along with work for a very few select clients. The other two names do excellent work but there are others that are very good.

Drew, I'm sure she would enjoy receiving a few thousand calls (not) but it would be great fun!
Dave Norin is still doing business and does great work. I see Dave on a regular basis and we are very good friends. He has a really amusing sign on his door that discourages "drop in visitors".

Stan, these great guns aren't being used on clays, they're being punished. I knew market hunters who wouldn't shoot over a year as some are breaking clays on a weekend. I never heard of a breakdown in my fishing village.
