Over years of my life, I have found the only value in movies is entertainment, they are very seldom "Factual" Fact; 1Jn 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. In the context of this quote the apostle, John was referring to God's law, not man's. Fact; There is not one single verse in God's Word (The Bible) which declares owning a slave to be a Sin. Fact; Until the 13th Amendment was ratified on Dec 6, 1865, it was not a transgression of the laws of the USA to own a slave. Fact; Prior to Dec 6, 1895 owning a slave could not justly be called Sinful.

We don't get the summertime blahs around he'ah. When the work's done we go to the beach or a sandbar on the river ................ and chill. I prefer the sandbar, myself. Lots of boats, good conversation, and fine Southern GA and SC conservative voters. Flyover country ....................... Trump country.  SRH Not one African American to be seen at that beach. 2: there is more than one word of god in this world...
just because judeo/christian scripture may not condemn slavery, does not make the practice any more or less evil and sinful...
god is in all men...in our minds and in our hearts...
if you look your fellow man in the eye and see pain and suffering...and you know that you are the source of that pain and suffering, then if you are a good man, you cannot just ignore it or even worse, rationalize the continuance of his misery, as a choice of the lesser of evils...
and "amistad" is a wonderfully entertaining movie...that is also thought provoking...
