If anyone is looking for a fairly inexpensive side by side, take a look at the CZ Bobwhite G2.

It is made for CZ by Huglu, but for a gun that has a MSRP of $650 it comes with 5 chokes, has pretty good wood, weighs 7.5 lbs (in 12g) and feels fairly well balanced.

Having owned a 12 and a 28 Bobwhite, they should be able to sell as many 28s as they build at this price point.

The 12 is “meh.” The 28 is a fantastic package.

This a new generation of Bobwhite that did not the US market until this year.

I have read that the original Bobwhites had some QC issues, although CZ apparently was good about fixing the issue.

I have one of the older ones in 20 and love it even though it doesn't have that old gun warmth. The new ones do not have case colored recievers

I have one of the older Bobwhite 20ga that I picked up for shooting steel, before I found ITX and Bismuth for reloading for my 2 1/2" shotguns. It has worked well for me shooting ducks and pheasants on public lands. I had tried to do it with an 870 20ga and a little semi-auto 20ga but they just never felt right, my niece shoots the 870 and my old hunting partners wife the semi-auto.

I'm vertically challenged so most of my weapons have youth/ladies length measurements, it works out pretty well as most knash there teeth over cut stocks and I just offer a lower price and am happy I don't have to pay to have them shortened.

After the first shot the rest are just noise.

I bought one of the earlier CZ SxS's five years ago. It was a decent gun. It did break a trigger spring. I called CZ and they had me send it to their Kansas City repair center. Repaired and returned in about 10 days, which I thought was excellent service. No other problems.
