Keith you seem to have picked up the thread police mantel or at the very least banded together with jOe the idiot (busy proving that with every post on the Win 21 thread) to protect Dave from those scandalous shysters who would rip him off.

It reminds me of nothing so much as you having become those you complain about. Now there is some hypocrisy.

BTW, I utterly reject your contention that SKB's answer was too detailed. What horseshit. You say that only because you dislike SKB. A detailed, real world answer to the specific question by a guy who actually does it, rather than a 'My ex brother in law did it two years ago....."

That's one of the great things about this site. Real world and detailed. Not the bullshit gladhanding I read on other forums.

Really James, is that how you see it? I see it as giving them a dose of their own medicine, and it appears that they don't like it.

I haven't banded with jOe because, as I've said many times before, his banter with Ted doesn't bother me at all, and both of them seem to be perfectly capable of hurling their own barbs. This site wouldn't be the same without it, and we all know that the B.S. about this place being a bastion of civility in the old days is just B.S.

And while we're on the subject of becoming something that you frequently complain about... your relentless attacks on jOe smack of the same repetitive stuff you frequently accused me of when I confronted King's anti-gun rhetoric and Socialist dogma on a regular basis. Would you get pissed at me if I did the same as you and told you that it's getting tiresome... beating a dead horse until it is little more than a wet spot in the grass? Or would you say you had that one coming?

Reject that if you like. But I will admit that I don't care much for SKB. You know my reasons. He has attacked me countless times here, and in addition, he has repeatedly dumped on pro 2nd Amendment topics and relentlessly attacked pro-gun Republicans while pretending to be a so-called "Independent Moderate"... who virtually never gives equal time when it comes to attacking anti-gun Democrats. So yes, I have my reasons. Thanks for noticing.

LOL, my attacks on jOe are hardly relentless. You sir are relentless. I've got a very long way to go before anyone would confuse your "relentlessness" with my "relentlessness". I did get a good chuckle at the thought, though. Mostly I ignore him. But he's been particularly dumb lately and likes to jump in where you are, as though you two are brothers in arms. I think he feels some security in your presence. Or he gets a woodie. Haven't figured out which and I'm not trying hard to.

As far as a dose of their own medicine goes.....I read you complaining about OT threads far more than anyone else. Now, you may think you are making a point, but unless one has been reading you for a long time, that point might be easily missed. Mostly you just sound like a whiner on the OT or sales/Dave's $10 topics.

And finally, what's wrong with a real world example of exactly what the OP was asking about. Jeez, you sound like the ninny who moderates over on the the Upland Journal forum. I just had a post deleted there because I mentioned the name of a town in Saskatchewan I no longer hunt near because the sharptails and huns got destroyed in the early part of this decade. To answer a specific question that got asked about what part of the province might be good to hunt in. Apparently I was giving away trade secrets about where to hunt. Mind you, the dolt left the question in place.....just deleted my answer.

As I mentioned earlier, I like specificity and I like that this forum delivers it in spades.

Obsessive- compulsive disorder can be managed, but you must seek help. There are medications that will reduce your need to repeat baseless accusations and your misplaced anger and hatred. Cognitive therapy can also help you deal with the overwhelming urge to beat dead horses. No one here but jOe thinks these pointless rants have any basis in reality. Do yourself a favor. Check into a mental health facility. Give readers here a break.

SKB could easily have given a real world example of the gun importing process without shamelessly selling his services in this forum. We don't see stock makers or barrel bluing guys or case hardening gunsmiths posting their prices and shipping costs in this forum. There is a place for that, and there is a customary payment made to Dave when such a sale is made. But I don't discriminate, and mentioned the same sneaky thing when Billy's pal SDH-MT was selling his stock making classes a few months ago. jOe has some books for sale in the proper forum. Maybe he should sell them here and cheap-out on the 10 bucks. It seems to be the thing to do. We even have folks making excuses for it.

For those who may be confused, or may not understand why I have recently been relentlessly pointing out all of the off-topic posts, and the For Sale posts like the ones where SKB is selling his importing services or Billy is selling his Springfield actions, let me just remind you that it is in response to the, oh, roughly ten million times our Thread Police whined about their idea that pro-gun politics or gun rights topics have no place here.

I might go along with their opinion if it wasn't for the sheer hypocrisy and how utterly selective they are. If I point it out another million times, I'll still be far behind the number of complaints made by them. The original poster's point on the exchange rate is a good one, historic lows and a very soft market in the UK currently can lead to some great buys. I have had several clients recently pick up really nice guns at great prices. Gavin Gardiner is having an auction in the next few days as well. If anyone has any questions about the process or costs involved please ask.

And do you still allow ATF Agents to illicitly photograph your Bound Ledger Books containing the serial numbers and names of owners of these imported guns?
