Ted, the more I think about it, the more I agree. E-collar it is.

We went to look for the GPS unit today and he damn near got lost doing that.

A CAPITAL idea, wish I had thought of it. Perhaps you can look into a chip that triggers the shock collar when he gets out of range?

We pushed our annual hunt a week later to take in opening weekend for quail and pheasant. Here is James with his first wild quail.


He had his doubts about Cocoa being able to find the one I shot, but she locked in on a small snarled thicket, then dove in.


She also retrieved James' bird (we only shot one each)




I have a few more, with some commentary to add. Need to put some guns away.
