I saw one today,didnt thunk they existed,16ga mint 28".
What exactly it was still dont know.
Had Krupp eissenstahl barrels marked on rib in gold print with dollshead.
Germanish simple engraving with canine pointing flushing,
not as corny as I have usually seen on postwar hammers fron Ital.
Watertable had 1933 in a rectangle, but italian proofs are of the postwar period."nitro/nitro under the bbl near the extractors.
Sideclips, and the ring vents around the firingpin holes.
pushbutton forend.
The only thing that said Franchi on it was the plastic buttplate.
Dealer wanted 1800. were these sauers or what?,replaced barrel?
thanks!,

In form it looks like that, has square bolt etc,but the engraving looked like a low end Haenel boxlock. Not detailed, but you could feel the shading cuts in the engraving. It did remind me of the Bernardelli hammer overall, but I`m starting to think
italian gun for the german market unless this was an optional bbl upgrade. The barrels had no Franchi markings, just the Krupp proclamation.

Mario Beschi made many doubles that bear the Franchi name. The forth fastner gun pictured above is most likely M.L. made or produced in Val Trumpia after the sale of the drop forges by the Belgians to the Italians. Krupp, Cockerill, CAP or Falla.
