A few months after I put that Reilly history post up, Terry Buffum sent me something from his house: an old blue glass quart bottle with an EM Reilly label on it, some advertising artifact from the 19th century. (I had hopes there was some Oregon agricultural artisanal product in the jar...no luck)
I hope Terry is still around and ok. There was some reason he consigned his collection and I now wish I had bid on a couple of them. Shooting my own 1898 Reilly hammer gun (SN# 34723) is an utter pleasure.
Ed, are you ok? Is this a so-far unrecognized code of some sort? (blink your right eye twice if so. We'll be on it).
