I am looking for a cocking plate and screw for the fore end on my Elsie 20 gauge, non-ejector. Out of stock at Numrich.

I would be glad to try to make one. Can you help me find a reference to the right dimensions? Thickness, length, width etc. I don't actually know exactly what it looks like. On the Numrich site it appears to be a small flat plate with a threaded hole in the center. The other two Elsies I shoot are both 12 gauge ejector models so they are not much help. I did leave a phone message for Jerry Andrews.

Thanks, Swampman

I believe these are the images Bro. David intended to post. I do not know if this is a 12 Reg frame or 20g FW frame plate

I moved the photo to another file and that is why it is lost
Here it is again.

The 4-40 screw is a common screw found in most hardware or stores like Home Depot and Lowe's. It is nothing more than a round head 4-40 screw cut to 1/4". If it is zinc plated hit it with a Bernzomatic torch till it turns blue, wait for it to cool and wire brush it.
Just make sure you install it like it is shown in the photo that Brother Drew posted.

Gunut- I made the part you need for a Fulton for a friend's gun with nothing more than a hacksaw and a file. It took about an hour to fit. Just find a drawing or look at a gun to get started.

That part often breaks because it not only lifts the extractors but it also acts as a check hook when opening the gun. If the gun is snapped open often, the part fails.

Thank you all very much. I successfully made a cocking plate for my Elsie 20 yesterday using the diagrams and pictures you sent. A screw, tap and bit were available at my local hardware store.
