Jon,

What is going to be most important to the 2 of you during this trip?

Number of Ducks and Geese seen/harvested? New type or historic area hunted? Ability to have decent amenities nearby?

Arkansas's second split will go out on the 23rd for 2 days the 24th and 25th. Unless there is a new push of ducks or strong weather there will be a lot of stale ducks even at Stuttgart.

If just being together and having an adventure is part of your idea of a good trip, I would almost suggest waiting a little closer to time and planning the trip on the current conditions and hunting activity. With only 2 of you to "Fit In" it may be a little easier to find accommodations than you think particularly if an area "Gets Hot".

I have a friend who has a lease near the White and Mississippi rivers. His field with 6 blinds cost 80,000. Last year the two blinds he retained for his family shot 3500 ducks. The other 4 blinds were sold or rented out. A great year but for that kind of money you could take 10 guys to Argentina for a week

Call Scott. We've been hunting with them for a long time. Good guys and they work hard to get you some shooting. They are up near the boot heel of MO though, so weather is always a crapshoot, but they way it looks right now, looks like north is good

Lots of duck outfitters/guides just hunt mornings. If you want to try an afternoon snow goose hunt look up "Goose-Busters" for an afternoon in the mud. Whether the hunts any good or not you'll enjoy the guy with his Labradoodle retrievers...Geo
