I thought Id start this anew so to speak, seems the other post was getting a little"unruly" any how...as it seems after current stocks of bismuth are used up,and if they do not resume production and it becomes unavailble. What besides Tungsten matrix, which the shot is not sold for reloading purpose, is available? has anyone used the "Nice Shot" or Ecotungsten? from reading their promo is this maybe a manufacture process that does not infringe on Kents tungsten matrix? this Nice shot seems to look like it is old double gun friendly if it lives up to its ad type. has anyone used any or have any experience with it?

With "Nice Shot" priced at over $45 a pound I don't see it as economical substitute should Bismuth become unavailable. Should Bismuth disappear fromt he market many waterfowlers still using classic doubles may put them away. Worse yet some could resort to being outlaw gunners and return to lead. A box of 1 1/4 ounce Nice Shot loads would run $90 just for the pellets.

from reading their prices its $45 per kilo, which according to them is 2.2 lb. which puts it about the same price as bismuth at Ballistic Products, and slightly higher than Precision Reloading price of $119.00 for 7 lb jug bismuth

I recycled the TM from the shells that went down with our capsize. Surprised that the 2 1/2-inch paper shells were in such good shape I thought they'd slip into the chamber---after six months in six fathoms of salt water. They didn't. Close though. A tiny amount of moisture penetrated to the shot, the powder mostly dry.

Mr. Brown you are absolutley correct. it's $45 for 2.2 pounds. I read too fast. It is still pricier than Bismuth. Last week I bought a 7lb bottle of Bi 4's for $106 which is just over $33 for 2.2 pounds. However Nice Shot looks interesting and I may try some to see if it offers improved performance over Bi. Also should Bi not come back into production Nice Shot may be the next best alternative for reloaders working to control payload, velocity and pressure for the old guns.

Looks like pretty good stuff and very similar to TM, which in my opinion is better the Bi. I think that I may order some and give it a try. TM was too difficult to find last season.
