Hi, has anyone heard anything about this gun? Spanish made Side lock ejector in 12ga.

Any comments?

Mississippi dealer had several Spanish sidelocks on his site a few months back with model designations including the word sable (Black Sable for instance). They are not there now and I can't remember the maker. Perhaps Gorosable?

Thanks for the reply Jack, I did some checking and they are made by Gorosable.

Anyone know anything about this maker?

Terry Weiland gives it as Pedro Gorosabel, Eibar, maker of box and sidelocks, active at least until 1972. Weiland doesn't use Gorosabel as an illustration of the "best" the Spanish can do nor the worst anybody anywhere can do. I would take that as encouraging the thought that they supplied a middle of the road gun for a middle of the road price and managed to become neither notable nor notorious in the U.S. import market.
