I figured I might not be the only one bored to tears with current topics so I thought I would post a few pictures of what drives me. Maggie with a mornings limit and some early snow in Montana. Picture taken a fifteen years ago or so. She was my first bird dog and as my hunting buddy said about her "a bird finding machine". I sure do miss her. former employee, myself, Maggie and Briar with a limit of SD roosters and a couple of sharpies. Briar was Maggies son. This was about 7 years ago. The old crew winding down and the new generation coming on. Lucy was about 6 months old and on her first wild birds, Blue or Dusky grouse. Lucy and I last year with a couple of Sharpies and a rooster in SD. I'm really looking forward to this fall. I'm working on a new shotgun for myself as well but it will not be ready by this fall unfortunately. Steve

Steve, thanks. I believe I have seen the pictures before, but always nice to see again and again.
Surely beats the most resent posts with the child-like rantings.

Those are pro gun gun dogs so I have no bone to pick with them. Please don't quote me though. Memories of old dogs are what makes us want new dogs. The journey is a lot of fun with a few very sad bumps along the way.

Nice to see, Steve. And I, too, am glad to see the Holland still providing you with good service. I remember when you got it. Hope I run into you before I leave the area.

Great idea Steve! Hoof: I've been to the Flight 93 memorial, is this gameland nearby? This should be a couple of Ruffies. These are the Canadian variant I see in northern Minnesota (bonasa togata). These two are mixed-phase birds, a mature adult female and a much younger male. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KlZN7XUhigw
