Good topic , I have a little xxvbl (AYA) in 12 gauge , I it was my first gun I save lawn mowing $$ for. My farther along with a group of grouse hunters back in the mid 70s, ordered 12 guns directly from Spain. In fact this past Monday grouse hunting without a dog is what I carried. Flew 4 without pulling the triggers. This little AYA to the best of my knowledge has most likely fired over 7000 rounds through it I used it as my trap gun for a couple years. Remember, the Churchill narrow rib gives the illusion of a longer barrel. I would not be afraid to use it for SC, I remember reading a couple of articles on how Churchill and his xxv won several live pigeon shoots back in the day turning the thinking of longer barrels to take note.
