Unless you work for or derive benefit from the specified vendor...You are not breaking the rules.

As chance would have it MidSouth had some 7x57R Norma cases on closeout and I was lucky enough to purchase the last 4 boxes of 25 that they had ($13ea). In addition; I snagged 1000 new RWS 45acp brass cases for a smicron over $50....tis the season.

Mike, unless you find a stash of .318 bullets in a widow's cupboard, you'll likely pay a solid price for them. I'd recommend Hawk Bullets. Huntington's may have something, too.

Just check'n here. Is your response noting your want of some inexpensive .318" 196gr bullets tied to Hoot4570's heads-up on MidSouth's closing out on 8X57JRS cases or the opening of a separate subject?

I only ask as the 8X57JRS is for the .323" bullet ... in case you don't already know that.

I still have a bunch of 196gr Sellier & Bellot .318" but my regular go to bullets are HAWK, as "rocky mtn bill" referenced, and Woodleigh that can be purchased from Huntington. Woodleigh makes some very nice bullets but one thing in particular that I have come to like about HAWK is that they will make whatever you want in grain weight. Such is just an adjustment to the length of the bullet but they typically will make such "customs" at the end of a regular run. Minimum order for specials was two boxes, don't know if that has changed. Haven't seen either HAWK of anybody selling Woodleigh offering any discounts as yet, such would be nice.

Every once in a while someone puts other 318's, such as S&B's, up for sale but that's one of those by chance kind of deals that you'll need to watch for like many others ... myself included.

Yep, seems to be buying into the S&B 8X57JR AMMO thing is the most economical route to go most of the time. Hang onto the brass and patiently wait for bullet bargains ... or screw patience depending on your mood.

It is easy to size .321" 170gr 32 Win. Special bullets to .318", if your rifle demands that diameter. Unless your rifle is a double barrel( and maybe even then)this bullet should suffice. There is only 26gr difference in weight.

I would call and order two custom bullet sizing dies from Lee precision. One in .320 and one in .317. this would allow you to resize any standard .323 bullet.
I do that to go from .338 to .333 (.333 jeffery) and .330 (.318 WR).
It's easy enough and very cost effective.
One has to order the final die .001 less than final as the bullet springs back a bit after going through the die.
It takes about a month to get the dies.

If starting from .321, you probably need only the final die.
It's better to keep resizing at or below .004 in one pass.

I believe you can get bullets for your .318 WR from Graf&son ( PRVI, may be .329").

and the bullets, when found, seem to be higher than that.
I do suppose I could cast for it, but was looking for jacketed

CH4D also sells a .323 to .218 die. I use mine for my drilling and cape gun.

Try www.grafs.com. They show a .330" 208gr FMJBT bullet at $32.99/100, item ppb330FMJBT. This bullet is for the 8x56R Hun. They also show 8x56 ammo with a 208 gr sp bullet, so it is likely that they also have the .330" sp bullet, but may just be out of stock right now. I would expect the sp bullet to be about the same price as the FMJ.

In my cobwebbed mind I got mixed up with addressing it to you instead of Wild cattle, who was looking for .330" bullets for his .318 WR. Try www.buffaloarms.com. They have 150,170,175, and 200 gr .318" bullets.
