Brent, the one I have left is actually off an 1881 Marlin, but is not Marlin marked for the code letter. It gave me plenty of elevation in my 1881 in .38-55 to shoot to 150 yds, with some leftover. The rise of the two receivers (1895 and 1881) should be similar, and I think would work for your gun.

About 20 years ago I bought an old Model 52 that had Vaver sights front and rear. Very complicated sights. I figure I got the gun for free with the sights. It had Unertl mounts so I put a 10x Unertl on it and the Vavers sit on top of my safe.
