I saw an prewar Merkel o/u at a gunshow,and was wondering what model it might be.
it had a greener crossbolt,but no double protrusions like a kersten,and had no underbites.it had cocking indicators,sparse light engraving,boehler weichlot with star of david,solid rib,scalloped recv but no sculptured ledge around the fences like an 200 series or an skb.auto ejectors.
dt,capped pg.cheekpc,with a down curved comb.3pc fornd.
1/26 date coded.mechanically was tight as new,wood had some mars,couple of scrapes inside shiny bores,most all bbl blue,case faded out.looked more carried and bumped more than anything.
