Interesting that I, from Russia, can't access the images by clicking on the links above, but I can by copying them and posting in another window of my browther. So I think it's this site's engine that's blocking the pic, and you can access them by copypasting like I did.

This is an honest question.
How is the documented search for a stolen/confiscated WWII firearm, removed from it's original location, and brought back to the United States after the war, any different than the search for family heirlooms as prosecuted by the Jews?
Are there legal protections pertaining to firearms? Was there a settlement of some form in the articles of surrender?
This purely a legal question, as I live near a thriving German community, and the topic actually comes up every so often. Many families have documentation of family heirlooms lost to confiscation during and after thew war.
Is an ornate schutzen rifle treated differently than a silver tea service or a painting?
Out there doing it best I can.

Brezhnev was a serious gun nut and hunter, and a hunting gun was an acceptable and appreciated gift among the Nomenklatura so he gave and received tons of guns. He was indeed reported to love the Cosmi, so much that TsKIB made a copy of it, but that doesn't mean he had and shot nothing else.
