Coil or leaf - I have guns with both and either design can provide a great trigger pull. The reason Perazzis have removable trigger groups is because they were originally designed for International Trap competition. If you have a mechanical failure on the firing line you have a small amount of time to fix it - 3 minutes I think. The number one failure in a shotgun is the trigger. With a drop trigger Perazzi if your gun fails you can switch triggers on the firing line. It's a small thing, but at the very highest levels of competition little things matter. I can take my Perazzi all the way apart for cleaning and maintenance in several minutes. None of my other guns is as easy to maintain. I have well over 50,000 rounds through my Petazzi with no malfunctions - ever, and no broken leaf springs. I got leaf springs in my gun simply because it's traditional. Ugartechea's highest grade sidelock comes with coil springs because they will continue to work if broken.
With the right design either coil or leaf springs will serve you well.
