Can someone give me an accurate gun speak translation of the following please?
Immanuel Milfert, Suhl, Anfang 20.Jhdt. Erwerbsscheinpflichtig.

Craig the online translations do not take into account that when speaking about firearms words in German have many meanings. They only give the most common translation for the word. I can make sense out of most of it with that but I'd like a better translation. Thanks.

Mike~ I know the Babelfish translations are pertty bad, but I couldn't resist checking ot out and posting the translation A few years a German "e-mail" friend sent us some Christmas goodies. A ginger bread cookie has some phrase on it (forget now what it was), anyway, the Babelfish translation was useless for something as simple as holiday greeting. Craig

Mike, the name should be Immanuel Meffert, as Jani has it above. They were in the top group of German makers, highly respected. I have a drilling by them that's a very nice gun.
