Here is the rough draft of the latest project from my studio. As the title suggests, it is a 12 gauge, fully rifled slug gun using Hastings rifled blanks. It started as a badly buffed and reblued Sterlingworth ejector with cut barrels. It is in the rough-polished stage and the butt and forend are pattern pieces.
If the temperature ever gets above freezing I'll take it to the range to regulate the barrels and file the sights.

The last two photos will not show for some reason, but if you click on the links they can be viewed.

Very sharp conversion! Are the tubes threaded in or just sweated?

Pressed and sweated, just like any standard sleeving job.

Nice! How are you going to regulate? Looks like the ribs are already sweated in. Or is the left barrel floated at the last 1/3, like Merkel DRs with the adjustable setscrew regulation at the muzzle? I did a 45-100 DR on a Merkel 12 ga action, and figured out that they use 2 setscrews at 45 deg angles in the front sight block to move the left muzzle for fine tuning regulation.

Fixed it-left out the backslash.

The ribs are sweated. If the barrels need to be moved for regulation they are placed in a fixture and the forward 1/3-1/2 of the barrels are heated until the solder releases, then the barrels can be moved either together or independently via screws and allowed to cool.

Egad! I did blocks and shims, with 2 hose clamps, and 40+ rounds of ammo to the local gunclub range for rough regulation, after using laser boresighters in the shop to get a size for the blocks at the muzzle and front sling swivel. The guys at the club gave me lots of room when they saw the hose clamps, and the 45-100 rounds. Found out why DRs cost so much. The setscrews at the muzzle in the photo are 4-40 allen, with 4 flats at the ends, so it's "click adjustable".

Here it is, ready for engraving. The owner is going to take it hunting this year as-is and upon its return the final wood and metal finishing will be done. This will include a leather-faced pad, blue barrels and hardened/French greyed everything else.
