I agree with the above post completely. I have had quite a few stocks duplicated over the past few years in upgrading my guns and in rebulding some auction cheapie finds. Several operators were used. I learned the hard way that the machine is not as important as the operator. I have had a few duplicated more than once due to a poorly skilled operator. One of the better duplicating shops I found, a retired railroad engineer from Florida who passed on last year, operated a mid priced two spindle machine and did excellent work because he took care to do it right! I watched him operate it twice, and was so impressed I bought one of my own just like it, knowing he was terminally ill. I have no intention of taking in work, it's for my own use, but maybe I'll make two at a time when I think I'm good enough and post a few for sale on eBay. I do think I have enough knowledge gleaned over the years to be able to tell if I am good enough or not, and if I am not good enough, I'll quit and sell the machine. I'll betcha' that won't happen, though.
