Excuse me but I've seen this termed used on so many occasions and cannot figure what it means. Please help me out on this.

SNR go to this website and look at the photo in the upper right. The wood of the stock goes all the way up to the knuckle.

They are wonderful actions, altho the years can be kind of tough on the wood in stess areas due to slamming the gun closed.

Most Westley Richards bar in wood guns that I have examined have shown remarkably little damage in the knuckle. My old eight bore Westley is mechanically perfect, born in 1868 or thereabouts.
