My vote is brown but I don't think there is a wrong choice. I think this is going to be a blast to shoot and hunt with. If it were mine, I would be looking to use it on a doe and a hog. Have fun. Scott

I have another English 12 bore and an H&H 28 bore coming over soon. Thinking about making the 28 bore into a 450/400 2 3/8" BPE. The 28 the 12

Oooo, Now that's a fun gun I'd like to tramp around the woods with. Both the 12 and especially the 28 look really cute.
Can't say whether brown or blue, I think it's a win/win.
If I may be so bold as to ask, did you pick up these gems in Brit auctions or from Brit contacts?

Wow, you must know how to bid right, it seems you pick up some genuine diamonds in the rough.
Many Thanks - Marc

Mike, what a great idea. I am a bit jealous. I vote for brown as isn't that more british for that ear gun?
Have fun with it.

You're going to cut that H&H 28?! Is there something wrong with the bore? I'd sure want to shoot it first, or is it another one of those "hole in the barrel so you can sell it legally" items?

Brown. Mike, did you send it back to England for the work? That H&H is darling...

OMR they are all, hole in the barrel won't pass proof someone has to save them, guns. Most have walls too thin with pits.
Sharps I had it done here. $250 for the sleeving and $80 for the rear base and complete front sight.
