Well the cost to service the national debt is 18 billion a month.
And we take in 225 Billion,now why in the world would we default on the debt ???Unless Obama wants to there is NO way America will default on the debt,just a scare tactic King.

Every year it's becoming more like living behind now defunct "Iron Curtain". OH BOY. I give you one upside we will be very safe from other fellow citizens that is what happens when people are very afraid of state internal security apparatus.

No, I'm saying debt isn't the issue, as you are, but for a different reason. I'm saying, like most of the world, that default will be devastating. You say it won't.
So what's all the fuss, Dave? Let's watch what happens in the next couple days. I say they'll bend because of the consequences of default.
If default is no problem, as you say, they'll default. If they bend to prevent default we'll know it's a problem. No sense getting our knickers in a knot.

I don't think they're worried a bit about the consequences of default. That would mean they care....about the country. I think they care more about their careers and how those careers are supported, than citizens of the US. Any objective observer can see than libs peddle in misery. They need to convince folks they're victims and give them simple road maps to turn to big brother.
Similar with your snowden outrage on the other thread. As long as the responsible party is a dem and better yet of a pc advantageous ethnicity, there is no true outrage in the slightest. Over an award winning whine, have you ever asked your colleagues, what would we write or splash on tv if bo was a white republican.

seems to me, that so long as the world has no better alternative than the american dollar to protect their wealth, then it really makes no difference how much debt we incur? how much is too much? 15 gazillion? 20? 100? can anyone answer that question?
and, as for the default issue, I understand the feds have enough revenue coming in from current income sources to cover a short term debt call? if not, then a tax increase on selected competing imports, might be appropriate?
keep it simple and keep it safe...
