It looks like an attempt to make a "crossover" stock so that a right handed shooter could use his left eye while shooting from the right shoulder. Is that the situation?

I appears to bear 2 1/2" (65mm.) chamber length marks and the nitro proof mark. Lagopus.....

I surely wish I could find one of those "cut rate hardware stores."

Certainly not a "best" but not a beast either. I happen to LIKE that level of finish, especially when you compare it with, say a Stevens 311 or "Fox" Model B!

Bet you could kill things with it and still not be draggin' at the end of the day. Have fun with it!
