Just back from the Vintage Cup. The best looking Fox-Sterlingworth there was a fairly late Savage gun with 28-inch barrels the capless grip and all Savage features, serial number 136,494, with an asking price of $1200 in the Orvis store. A similar 16-gauge, serial number 374,930, from William Larkin Moore was $2500 and I'm thinking its wood may have been refinished.

Was just there 2 wks ago drooling over a 2E Hunter Arms LC 16g and now they have a 16g Sterly?! Did they bring the OO 16g LC with ejectors and the pristine 16g VH Parker?

Well, you are correct. I may have been too quick. I checked the date, it is a 1934 gun.

Given the prices that Dave is reporting, this one may be cheap.
