"Is anybody else a little itchy about the idea of a .25 Krag in a Lowall?"
I'd be VERY itchy. But whenever I hear of folks barreling a low wall in a medium - large cartridge like that, I have to ask, "Why?"
Low walls exist to make it easy to load and unload small cartridges. Small means .22 lr or .25-20 or .32-20 or maybe a .25 or .22 Hornet.
A .25 Krag is a cartridge that is plenty long enough to be easily handled in a highwall action. So, if you like the 1885 Singleshot's mechanics and heritage, there is a version that is appropriate for the cartridge that catches your eye, but don't stick an oversized case in the low wall and because there is no advantage to doing so, and there is a good bit of disadvantage.
Most folks consider .32-40 and .38-55 to be too much for the low wall action. .30-40 Krag with copper and smokeless is a combo I don't want to see on the firing line and I would remove myself immediately if I saw one there. Even a large shank low wall.
