I will start by saying that I just got married and the wife, although she loves my guns, has set the rule that when a new one comes in, an old one has to go out! Fair enough...
I just picked up a proof marked 1929 Belgian guild 12ga with 26" barrels, around 6.5lbs, and I am not sure if it has been restored of it is in original condition, and wanted to get some opinions. The numbers match, the stock has a slight repair on the heel, the action is like a vise, the bores are mint and it looks like a million bucks. The previous owner, for some reason, had Briley spin chokes in the gun (I know, blasphemy) and the chambers lengthened to 2.75". Any info on the gun would be greatly appreciated.
I have a Webley & Scott 700 12ga with 26" barrels and ventilated rib that is in ok condition (a great field gun). Do I sell the Webley and keep the Belgian or vice versa? Thanks for the feedback.
