Nice work. Thanks for posting. I wonder if those are tube #s?

1875 would have been late for a pinfire...

Something else - that's an unusual way to join bbl tubes. There are no flats to speak of. I wonder what the action flats look like. I bet they ain't flat.

I've seen some percussion conversions done like that.

The Krieghoff, if an original Crown Grade, went for a bargain price, $9700. I emailed DuPont asking about the originality and got no reply. That kept me from bidding.

This Parker Trojan is interesting, too:

I wonder how much it cost to redo that gun?

Way more than the result was worth. The buyer got a much better deal than the seller. A great $1000 gun if the frame is straight.

Well that may be or it just may be pride. As the politics were very fluid then. When Naples was part of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, they still referred to themselves as the Kingdom of Napoles....

In any case, it would be great to see the proof marks on this one.

The opening bid + VAT + import costs puts it beyond my reach.

Pete

I hear you. I have a couple smallish paintings in Rome to ship back just to Florida, and with the exchange rate, shipping is going to cost me $750 bucks. I can buy a pretty nice gun for that. They know they can pretty much charge whatever they want.
