Yesterday, Mr. Julia changed the date of his Fall auction to the Monday and Tuesday following the Vintage Cup in order to accomodate those who wish to attend both venues. The shotguns and rifles will be sold on Tuesday, giving those interested Monday and Tuesday morning for preview. The auction takes place in Fairfield Maine, a four hour drive North of Addieville East farm.

For those of you that don't know, For the past four years, I have been a consultant to, and writing catalog descriptions for the Julia Auction Company. My area, of course, is British, European, and American sporting guns and rifles. I give full descriptions with measurements for all shotguns. Also, Julia's descriptions are guaranteed so that buyers anywhere can bid with confidence.

This upcoming auction has a large number of very fine high original condition guns, including an L.C. Smith De-Luxe, a Remington Special, a 20 bore FE Lefever, a spectacular 20 ga. C grade Fox, two Rigby double rifles, some very fine H&H guns [at least three], along with Purdeys, Holloway and Naughtons, F'illi Rizzinis,A&S guns, Etc., Etc.

About a month ago I cataloged a very unusual lightweight g100 or so G ejector, I don't remember all the particulars however, Too many have passed through my hands so far, I think there is a Colonial grade hammergun in nice condition as well. Consignments are still coming in and will be for the next 3 weeks or so. A very fine Ken Hunt engraved extra finish Purdey is on the docket for tomorrow. I did two very good M-21 20 bores today along with lots of other things, of course.

Cdog, I looked at the Greener again, a G105, Tomlinson engraved with arcaded fences with small scroll and oakleaf motifs as background for small game scene. Neat gun!
