It sure looks like one a guy from Austrailia gave Oscar for teaching him to color case harden guns.

Thanks for the replies. Does anyone have any idea as to what this little gun is worth? Phil

I believe if it was on an auction it would fetch north of 1k.

I took pictures of the markings underneath the forend in case it would help in valuation. There are several, maybe too many to add to this forum, so here is the link to them at Photobucket.com. http://s1013.photobucket.com/albums/af252/pmcfall/410%20Side%20by%20Side/Thanks Phil

These cheap Belgian .410 guns were imported by a lot of ironmongers into the UK.
They make up to £200. I bought two in the UK about five years ago for £35 each and put them in a US auction, where they made $600 each!

They might be cheap little Belgian guns, but this one's darn pretty. It looks like it would be a heck of a lot of fun on the range and in the dove fields. You find any more like this for 35 quid and I'll double your money.

Well, that's disappointing news. I took in this double along with guns to settle a bad check. Looked like I was going to be left holding the bag with nothing in it so I figured I would take anything offered. Looks like I'm still a long way from home.
Oh well, it definitely won't be the worst mistake I ever made. Thanks for the replies, Phil

I'd be happy to take a walk along the hedgerows with that .410 . You can have a lot of fun with them not to mention putting food on the table.
Now, the big question, where can I get one of those £35 ones, or shall I just go and stand quietly at the end of the queue ?

This gun does not look refinished to me. That's pretty much what they look like when new.

Steve I just sent you a PM with my contact info. I've been out of town for a few days, usually I'm easier to reach. Phil

The gun is chambered for 75mm (3 1/4") 410. It appears to have been proofed some time after 1974. Certainly a nice little gun. In the right auction, it would do well.
A few years back, Cabelas was selling Belgian made 28ga guns for $3K++.

Note that 76mm (2.992") is the normal metric marking for a 3" chambered gun. 75MM = to 2.953" (2 61/64"). 3¼" would convert to 82.55MM.
