Gun is Remington 1894 fluid steel barrel. Bulge is small and resembles a pimple, located about 10 inches forward of the breech on the outside of right barrel. Can this be fixed, is it worth fixing, what is rough estimate of cost of such a repair? Thanks in advance.

I would have someone turn a brass bar to inside diameter of the bbl and peen it back to flat.

Going price is $35 at the Southern or VC. Numerous such "dings" get fixed there. You can fix it if it distrubs your "fing shwe." Otherwise, just shoot it.

If you are anywhere near Claremeont NH you m ight try N.E. Custom Guns. They'll tell you right away. They do very good work but aren't cheap.
