Hi all, I know this subject was discussed awhile back, but it still interests me. The gun is question is: http://www.gunsinternational.com/F-A-ANDERSON-W-C-SCOTT-12-GAUGE.cfm?gun_id=100251010According to N. Browns book there were a total 10 of these guns made (not 8 as the seller states). But not much more info than that. This one appears to be well made and done up rather nice. So....does anyone have any additional info on these guns? Any comments are welcome. Thanks so much! Greg

As the text says, these guns were Webley actions finished up in the trade. The business of F A Anderson are simply retailers, not gunmakers in any form. They might have some info on the gun somewhere. http://www.faanderson.co.uk/

Nice gun, but not close to a best.
That being said, it does look like a good deal for a very original modern gun that was proofed for 2 3/4" shells.

That gun was on the market awhile back for almost $5k. Used 12 ga. W&S 700s are selling for around $1k less than the current price of this gun, and they do not have nearly the engraving or quality of wood. Assuming the "as new" condition statement is correct, this looks to be a very good deal - unless you have an issue with 26" barrels.
Such a long, long time to be gone, and a short time to be there.

Congrats on another fine one, Greg! And thank you for saving me $3500. In the last couple weeks, I've been giving that gun serious thought. The ONYL stopping me were the stock dimensions. Let me know how she fits.
Enjoy the new toy in good health, my friend.
