Looking for market value on Mint condition Parker DHE 20 and 28 Gauge 2 barrel I have listed for sale. What would be the best sales venue? Thank you.

You don't say what the configurations are of your Repros and if they're in their original factory cases. Most Repros have good wood, but some have great wood making them juicier to a buyer, straight grips and double triggers also are more desirable and thus more valuable to most in the market for a gun of this type. So, having said this, your mint 20-ga. should bring from $2900-$3900 and your mint 28-ga. 2-bbl. set should bring from $3900-$6500. If you look on gunsinternational.com you'll find that most of the asking prices are higher than I threw out but, IMHO are not selling, or at least not very quickly.

I would list your guns on the for sale section on this site, shotgunworld.com, trapshooters.com and the Parker Gun Collector Association's website (you have to be a member of the PGCA to list there, however).

Just sold a nice condition(some small stock dings, 100% blue and CC) 28 bore 2 bbl set cased with straight grip, SST and splinter for $4500. I didn't feel badly since I paid $2500 new and used it long enough to know it wasn't for me. Based on a lot of research before selling my gun I agree that the $6k+ priced Repro's on the web can't be moving all that fast.

hard to say...

buyers will tell you prices are down due to the obama recession...

sellers will tell you these guns hold their value and are a great investment...

if you list it on gunbroker with a high reserve, the market will tell you what it is worth today.

My belief is the market is the market. Place the gun on gunbroker with zero reserve for the full two weeks starting at the minimum you would take and be happy. If it goes through the two week process with no bids, then run it again with a 10 percent reduction in price. Or you can do what I've always done. Run it for two weeks starting at a penny and let the market decide what it is truly worth. PS. Its a pet peeve of mine when I see some of the guns listed for months and months at a high reserve with zero bids. Obviously they are over priced of they would be gone. I think if GB charged you a small additional fee for everytime the gun automatically relists itself, the seller would lower the price and the dead inventory would be sold. Just one person's opinion of course.

Double triggers, pistol grips and splinter fore ends. Very nice wood. With canvas covers and accessories. Original boxes as well.

I think your revised asking prices are about right. Good luck.

FWIW, I sold the Parker 28 2 barrel set for $5465 shipped on GB. Priced at minimum I would take. Had two others "coming" to buy it, which I had informed the buyer, he moved faster and paid instantly with PayPal gift.

I'm surprised the 20 gauge is still available. The wood is very, very nice and I've priced it well below any other Repro's I've seen online.
