It looks like it started out as a Belgian sidelock built on a Defourney-patent self opening action. From there it looks like someone tried to create a fake Purdey.

Like Gunman, I've also seen 20th century, best-quality, hammerless Purdey sidelocks (phew) built on actions besides the Beesley. One was made on a Rogers-patent action and it checked out with Audley House as being 100% legit.

They even faked the stamps POORLY!!! I've only ever seen
NITRO PROOF as a single two word stamp Those in the photo were two separate stamps and don't line up

the lifters are wrong shape and location. On a Purdey they are rectangular, squared corners and centered on the flat. My safety button is different also, larger and solid all the way to the back end. When pushed forward you can't see the through bolt head as you can on this gun.
