Rather than draw a foul call from the "Storm Troopers" on the for sale list, I decided to post in the most likely category.
.577 x 2 3/4 NE RCBS Die set $75.00 shipped and Dave gets his due.

I know of .577x 2 3/4", .577 x 3", .500x3 1/4", but I have never heard of a .577 3 1/4". Could you double check? Best regards, WC

I incorrectly listed the die set. They are .577 x 2 3/4 N.E. Thanks to Wildcattle for the heads up. The dies are still available.

It was made in three basic forms Black Powder Express, Nitro for Black Powder and Nitro Express. The propellants were Black Powder, Cordite and Axite. Bullet weight varied between 560 and 760 grains. For more info see:- British Sporting Rifle Cartridges by Bill Fleming. 1993. Now out of print. As it was written and published in the USA you may be lucky enough to find a copy easier then we can in Britain. Harry

Hello Harry, I don't have that book (and I have looked all over for it), but I was shocked to see that caliber in the George Hoyem Vol. 3. I guess I'm still serendipitously right as it was indeed a mistake. I have never seen an example of a rifle in that caliber, and I look at a lot of them. It's gotta be pretty darn rare. God forbid you'd want to find those cases for reloading. I do own an Alex Henry in the 20/577 and that's hard enough to find cases for. Best regards, WC
