The oak and leather side by side case says only for 20 and 28 ga. Not a lot of use for me since I don't own anything smaller than 16. I'm with Mike. None of the Disse cases are for under 20's unless it's an O/U. Not a lot of use for those of us with 12 and 16 gauge SxS's.

I just measured a couple of 16 gauges and they will fit in the dimensions shown for the side by sides on the website.
I went back and measured a Greener, Lajot, Fox, Parker, and Baker 16 ga. They all fit within the dimensions given on the Disse website.

The maximum length listed is for 30" barrels. How short... Mark Preach on, Rev. SRH

So 12 ga. SXS won't fit in any of them?

I inquired with Disse Outdoor Gear several weeks ago regarding availability of their cases for 12 Ga. SxS. They courteously responded: "We do not have any cases that are specifically designed for a 12g SXS".

I inquired with Disse Outdoor Gear several weeks ago regarding availability of their cases for 12 Ga. SxS. They courteously responded: "We do not have any cases that are specifically designed for a 12g SXS". That does seems rather odd, considering 12ga sxs's would likely be their largest market. I wonder how the canvas case compares to the CSMC one selling for the same amount? They look to be roughly similar in construction, or are they?

Traditional English Guncases have always been expensive.
Westley Richards charge almost 3,000 for a leather case with accessories when you order a gun. Typical toe-under leather cases are 500 trade.
Cheap cases from China have been hitting the market lately, in a wide price range at the lower end. They do serve a purpose, as they provide a means of carrying your gun in an approximation of the type of case it should have. However, quality and detail lets these cases down and ultimately they look like what they are.
For transportation purposes, I think a hard plastic case does the job better and looks like what it is without pretension.
For presentation purposes, a vintage case fitted to you gun will be much better, though expect to pay over 250 for a decent one and a professional fitter will charge you 300 to fit and re-line it. I guess you pays your money and takes your choice.
