For those of you interested in American guns/ rifles, There is a Tonks percussion target/ snipers rifle at Cabellas in Scarborough.
It is cased with false muzzel, bullet starter, mold, and unusual Tonks marked full length scope. Neat!
All the best,
Mal

Rifle was just into inventory on Wednesday, I saw it that evening. Asking price: $12500.
Good luck,

Maybe a bit pricey, but not when you consider condition [nearly all case color on lock and brown on barrel], completness [all bits in their French fitted compartments] and the original case [a bit tattered]. The rifle is of large caliber .50 I think; and posibly made during the Civil War. I'm not sure of Tonks' working dates, but this rifle looks like many "Picket" rifles of the era. The Tonks marked scope is a new one on me; Most of these early scopes are by Malcolm, or unmarked. Quality is of course "first rate".

There is an article in Double Gun Journal Vol 11 Issue 1 on Tonks and some of his shotguns. My Shotgun addiction is bad enough-have to stay focused Bill McPhail
