I do not understand how one with dents that can be seen inside the barrel and off face can be so graded or the grading believed, that it would bring nearly $4,600.00 bc

If it's off face, it can't be by much, and as said, a very easy fix. With the level of skill in the recondition and restoration field, it would be a piece of cake. Ole Cowboy

The pin can also be rotated, which might take up minor looseness. I'd negotiate, but a 20ga Model 21 is a desirable gun to a lot of people. I'd certainly hope for a lower price, but this one could be put right without breaking the bank.
