Game Bore make them in the UK and I'm sure they have a US importer. Not sure if black powder loads are imported but you could Try Mr James at Gamebore and he will be able to tell you.

I agree with jOe, they're super easy, almost idiot proof to make. Obtain an 1-1/8 shot scoop, use the same scoop for black powder, equal measures. Obtain some cardboard wads from Circle Fly, I use discarded plastic cases, any kind work. Standard 209 primers, the cheaper the better. Believe me, this ain't brain surgery.

More fun to get some brass cases from BP..I use a decapping pin out of a rifle die to punch out the old primers...3/4 dowel for stuffing em. Old capper to put em back...waxed felt wads and cards from Circle fly....

Just do not ever use plastic wads or you will be scrubbing melted plastic out of your barrels for a good long time. It melts as it get pushed by the hot gasses and makes a real mess.

If you load your own shells, expect 75 or so shells per pound of powder with 12 gauge. You won't find it cheap.
I get 50 loads per pound when loading 10 ga skeet loads. 4 drams with 1 1/2 oz of #9 in a modern AYA 10, what fun.
I shot some 12s at a sporting clays shoot Monday.
The other part of BP loading is good wad pressure. Plastic over powder wads melt. Modern plastic wads with the crush section cause BP to treat the shot cup as an obstruction. I have heard it can cause bulged or burst chambers. Others may have first hand accounts.

I bought some BP loads from an outfit called Republic Metallic Cartridge Co. a few years ago and I'm still using them. They used plastic wads and the cleanup was pretty nasty. I can't, however find them on the internet anymore; may be out of busuness...Geo

I've been thinking about loading some BP 12s for my old Damascus guns, so I have a question for you guys. If BP melts plastic wads, how advisable is it to use plastic hulls?
