It's been a bit of a crazy year (arent they all lately?).

Please take time to reflect on the important things; our lost and current friends, family, and the generosity of time and knowledge given freely by the many stalwart contributors here (and dont forget the tolerance of our gracious host!).

Take a young person shooting, gift a gun or your time to help a newcomer discover how much satisfaction can be gained from the hunt and becoming an integral part of nature-and in the process learn to understand how special all of it is.

Best,

C.

Thanks to all of you for your generous contributions.

I wish you a holiday season filled with the laughter of children, the company of old friends, and the time to enjoy it.

Wishing every one of you and your families all the best at the holidays and in the coming year. May all your targets break, may the Red Gods smile upon your hunts, and may you prosper in happiness and health.

+1 on the holiday wishes -- hope everyone here and their loved ones has a safe and happy holiday season, and keeps in mind those that have passed and their families. And remember our servicemen and women who can't be with their families during the holidays.

And +1 on taking a youngster out hunting. Took my 16 year old nephew bobwhite hunting this morning. Had a great time -- beautiful weather, good dog work, a fair amount of shooting, good natured ribbing on the misses ("Gosh Uncle Tom, those quail looked like butterballs -- how'd you miss?") and even scratching out a few birds for the oven. Hard to imagine a much better Christmas Eve day.

Best to All,

Tom

Christmas markes the point in the year which is the darkest, and the nights that are the longest. But here the day begins to grow, and even though the increase in the light is barely noticable, it is an unfailing sign that the better times, the spring, will surely come. It is this sign of the turn for the better that is the point of Cristmas as I see it. Season's greetings to all!

HD;

I wish you (and all the members here) a Happy Christmas and a large blessing of the light that entered this world through God's son, Jesus Christ, on this his birthday celebration.
