Are these from European market? What would be their American market equivalent? Are these of the usual Arrieta quality?
Thank you for your help.

The Crown Sable was imported here through Jack Jansma according to a fellow at Dewings I spoke with awhile back. Nearest equivalent is a 601 but the Crown Sable is not a self opener. They are every bit an Arrieta and a good value on the used market. If you can find one set up the way you like, it is the back door to an elegant gun. That's what I know, others may be able to offer more.

Hansli,

Thank you, I am not sure if it's Sable or Sabel? Do you know what this means? I also ran into a Garbi Gold Sable...They seem to be older models as I don't find them in the Blue Book.

FYI. Thad Scott has a few of the Crown Sables on his site. They look nice and a reasonable value for a good quality piece.

Joshua,
That's where I saw them, but could not figure out overall quality other than what I generally knew about Arrieta.
Thank you.

I find Arrietas confusing to identify by grade. Does anyone know the code?

Sorry, it is Sabel, a word whose meaning I don't know. You could shoot a sable with your sabel but that would hurt the value of the pelt. If you know what you're looking at Thad's is a good place to shop. He has some affordable stuff and you can return what doesn't suit, (only happened once). Make your question list and call him, a good interrogatory will save you $75+ in looking costs if it doesn't work out.

Gough Thomas reviewed a Crown Sabel in the UK Shooting Times magazine in the early 1980’s when they were imported by 'Gunmark'.

He thought quite a lot of it, finding the piece well made for the price. Most of all he praised the fact that the maker had produced an unadorned but very elegant gun without resorting to using some of the production budget on engraving.

I notice Thad Scott has a Perazzi SHO for sale listed as a type 2 (i.e. rebounding locks). Perhaps someone could be kind enough to confirm or correct my thought that judging by the pin placement on the lock plates it’s a type 1 (it makes a difference in price – i.e. less). The quoted production date would indicate a type 1 as well.

I like their simplicity. Modest competence is an admirable trait.
