George Digweed, starts at 10 yards and can take two shots at each bird. He backs up 10 yards and as he gets further back 5 yards, each time after breaking the last bird. He finishes beating his own world record at 130 yards. Using out of the box Kent Gamebore Black Gold #5, 1 1/4ounce at 1390fps. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Teixm6JMw_k&feature=player_embedded

That's pretty cool stuff.
I recall Pat Moore had a 100 yd crosser up a hill, a few yrs back. I hit it 3 times out of maybe 50 shots with a 20g. Never hit it out of a box of 3" .410

He looked to be shooting rising birds. Can you imagine what he was seeing ahead of that bird, at 130 yds., when you add the holdover to the lead? Can you picture 2 school buses?
Amazing.

His name is "Digweed?" I guess God compensated him for such an unfortunate name.
Cop: "What's your name, sir?"
Digweed "Digweed!"

BUT ! Exactly what is the point? We don't use 1 1/4 Number 5's for clayshooting and I would have thought that at 130 yards the pellets would not have sufficient energy to kill a bird. So should we really be doing this in public, in front of the League Against Cruel Sports members? I would prefer watching George Digweed win the British Open with 117 ex 120.Now THAT was a shooting display.

Couple of years ago, just a mile South of the home place here, I walked into an abandoned farmstead..Fresh snow on the ground, 1 Brittany with me...Bunch of Roosters flushed behind me after I had walked a ways...Turned around, pulled on the last one, killed him dead. LONG SHOT...So long that I went home, got the laser range finder and went back with the wife along. I had Diane stand at the spot where the bird fell. From the point where I shot to the hole on the snow where the bird fell, 87 yards. I was shooting a Lefever 10, with #5 RST's. I took a piece of chip, mounted 3 clay birds on it, measured 87 yards out and replicated the shot 3 times. Took pics, sent them to Joe Wood..Dont show anyone else sez Mr. Wood, they wont believe it anyhow...Oh yeah Rooster had 5 pellets in him..Salopian? prolly no point to this either, but then a lot of verbage on this forum may be pointless, but fun..
