I just came across a nice SKB sxs 20 bore sst, with ejector's .... gun in great shape except some clown cut the barrel's to 25" for a bunny gun !, I geuss the original imp/mod choke's were too tight , Are replacement barrel's hard to come by? I have very little experience with modern gun's. What's a decent offer for this gun? Thank's

25 inches was a standard length for many of those guns, so prolly wasnt cut. I doubt it has ejectors, but could be wrong...Very good guns, if you could get it for around 600 it might be a pretty good buy

I've had a couple. One pistol grip one English stock. 25" barrels with ejectors. The last one sold for $1100.00. I couldn't shoot either worth spit.

In my head, there weren't replacement barrels; not sure. Any of those SKB Ithacas are great guns. My 20ga o/u ic/m is my go-to. It has 26-inch barrels. I'd offer $600.

I too would like to add that the side by sides came either 25" or 28". I never picked up an Ithaca/ SKB that didn't feel just right. I owned several in my bird hunting days and my brother hunted for years with a 200E 12 gauge with 25" barrels. Boy he was quick on a bird with that gun. Used to make me mad as hell.

If the gun is an Ithaca/SKB and has ejectors it is at least a model 150, not many of those so probably a 280. There are a few that were purpose built as quail guns, 25" barrels choked IC/IC. Look at the barrel flats. 25" barrels will be IC/IC or IC/MOD. 28" were MOD/FULL. If the Ray-Bar sight is still aboard the barrels are probably uncut. Replacement barrels will be very hard to find. If its an un molested 280 in great shape-1k or less.

It's I believe, a mod 200e the flat's were marked ic /mod ,I am so unfamiliar with these that the 25 inch bbl's sounded odd,the front bead is in fact a screw!!!and is set back about 3/8 from the muzzle ,another reason I thought cut barrel's...but the ray-bar sight's length would have filled up the space.
I'll keep my finger's crossed on the price

OT Declaring an Interest: Canadian members may be interested that newf, who lives in outport Newfoundland and Labrador, just restocked and checkered a 12ga VH Parker for me. Excellent work at reasonable rate.

Newf,
I just looked at my 100, the screw hole is about 3/8" back from muzzle. The barrels sound like they are correct. Good luck!
