Hi Joe, I've used 7625 for a long time and am aware that it can have issues at low temps and at pressures that get down to 6000 psi or less. It seems to burn quite well in smaller bores so I will use it up in 20 and 16 ga. loads. Seems to perform well if the pressures are in the 7000 PSI range. Hope you have had some relief in your weather down there.....
Better to keep your mouth shut and be thought stupid, than open it and confirm.

Yesterday I shot some 7/8 oz loads in my Trojan 16 that a friend worked up using International Clays. (I've been using International with the new 3/4 oz Claybuster 20ga wads with really good results.) Nice loads, and like virtually all the Clays powders, Int is really clean.

In some reloading data I see 'Clays' and 'International'. Are they one in the same?

Where are all you volume 16 ga. shooters?
I shoot more 16 than anyone around here, and that's only about two flats a year.
Loading makes no sense at this level of use. I buy Fiocchi GT and give the hulls away.
A once fired 16 gauge hull seems to be about 15-20 cents per, considering the componets are worth $4.10 and the shells sell for 8-10 bux a box.
I'd load for it, but there's a $240 loader to amortize and it's just not worth it. Three years to pay for the loader, hell I might be done with it by then.
Of course, I don't need any non-standard loads either and that's the whole appeal for many folks who do load for it. You must not get out much. I shoot more 16 than that on dove opener. Wing maybe he is a better shot ?
Mine's a tale that can't be told, my freedom I hold dear.

In some reloading data I see 'Clays' and 'International'. Are they one in the same? Both from Hodgdon, and both in the Clays "family" of powders. But you can't substitute one for the other, any more than you can Red Dot for Green Dot or Blue Dot.
